The aims and objects of the organization are the promotion of Unity, Co-ordination and goodwill amongst its members for which purpose and ends in view it shall:

• Endeavour to inculcate a sense of patriotism, brotherhood, and unity among Teachers.
• Help and guide the working Teachers in organizing themselves into strong and healthy Associations.
• Impart Trade Union Education to the workers and leaders in Teaching profession through seminars, symposia, conferences, lectures, demonstrations, and exhibitions in different parts of the country.
• To struggle for projecting the professional status and image of the Teaching community. .
• The Association shall Endeavour to secure equality of rights and privileges in the employment of workers in the Teaching profession.
• To print, publish, issue, circulate, carryon research, to issue papers, news letter, books and other similar efforts.
• To Affiliate with National, Regional, continental and International Organizations with similar thoughts for promotion of the above and other objects.
• Seek Amendment in all enactments effecting Teaching community, at National, Provincial, and local level.
• To suggest ways and means to promote the efficiency of Teachers in the larger interest of the Educational system and the Nation.
• To undertake programme aimed at Economic and social uplift of the members, through foundation, Trust, and co-operative bodies.
• To establish a Teacher Resource Centre, and to collect information and data and research on Teachers for dissemination.
• To interact with other EGOs, Departments, Trade Unions to develop essential linkages, share experiences and build up mutual support networks.
• To inoculate an awareness of Health, Hygiene, Sanitation and Nutrition
• To establish Educational Center, Library & Health Training Centers.
